How long do factory alternators usually last?

I have 255K on my original alternator. The bearings are still quiet. At 150K I replaced the Brushes. I did it earlier then necassary, they still had plenty of meat on them. So don't sweat the alternator at 133K.

It doesn't hurt to have a spare. I have two in the basement. When I have an opportunity to get free parts.. I do. $70...cheap insurance.
