Steering box adjustment ??? 140-160

I've read that the guts of the 140 steering box are the same as
a BMW 2002's steering box.

I'd look in salvage yards. I use to see 140s in salvage yards
around my parts pretty often. Often enough that I'm regretting
not getting a power steering box when I saw one (and I've seen
several).

Of course, I'd only want one if it was as nice as the PS on my
164. If they're the same, I'd love to have one; if they're not
I wouldn't worry about it.

As far as yours, I'd try to find a used one and then look inside
your current one and see if there is something clear wrong with it.
