The WOT solenoid (wide open throttle) disengages the A/C clutch under heavy loads or over heating. It is controlled by the engine computer. On the original Ford wiring harness it is on the right hand side of the engine compartment. It should be the only relay in that area, it will be where the harness splits up to go to the oxygen sensors and the air mass meter.
