LS-1 into 940

Thanks for the info guys,
I should not have said "bang for the buck". I'm the kind of guy that tries to do things right. I don't mind spending big money for a project as long as the final destination is worth the price. Currently my V-8 swap is decent enough with 400 hp. first gen SBC. I'd like lighter, more power, smoother, more refined. I'm sure it won't come free. The work involved is just too great to end up with a 250 hp. "dog".
I think my choices are limited to GM because I like the product. Although I haven't owned a GM vehicle in years. I usually run Fords. It probably will be LS-1 style or all aluminum first gen large displacement. I seehttp://www.worldcastings.com/ has a 454 aluminum small block(I'm sure it's not cheap) that will be released soon.
I found Automotions phone # on Google. Thanks for the help.
