While returning from a successful rear-spring run to the junkyard, I was waiting at a light and noticed the check engine light was now on.

Oh $h!t. Can I assume that the light will not come on unless the drive cycle has been set? If true, then there is a minor victory and my inspector can at least pull the codes for the car.

I'm guessing that I'm sunk on fixing this until I know what codes the engine is throwing?
