Yes, I have read posts before stating not to put Mercon V in the tranny, I have read some that said the volvo fluid and Mercon V were really the same. I would never risk it and will order the 3309 if I service it. Why would the Volvo dealer invoice list Mercon V for the flush though? I was looking under the flat air intake you described by the radiator on the driver's side. If it's there, it is still eluding me, although I suspect it is not on this model year. I cannot find P0810 & P1618 codes on any OBDII list online. Anyone have a more comprehensive list? All the lists I have seen have neither code.
