Japan has come a long way in the last 30 years. The build quality and engine reliability are second to none. They do have a problem with passengers in excess of 6ft, and also for seats that need to be comfortable for 10 hour long stretches of driving.
Time to check out the rest of the car market. There are lots of choices.
