It's really not that uncommon! Our '94 started peeling anout 6 months after we bought it (used). The teal seems to go "wrong" a lot more on all the Volvos I see around here, and every teal one is bad. Blue holds up OK, black, white, silver are good. Green seems to be bad almost as much as teal. This is western NC, and we do get all the sulfurous pollution from the coal fired TVA power plants, plus we get all that stinkin' smell from local paper mills(though them made BIG strides in their pollution controls)and it can't be good.
