Having previously removed the instrument cluster on my 850, I dove in and yanked my dash pad. A slim 10mm wrench comes in handy for that tricky setup they have for the SRS ground wire. Love how Volvo made the '98 light not user resetable.

In researching the dash pad removal, I came across this very nasty problem:

Has anyone had their dash mountings self destruct? This sounds like a common problem at first glance. Wow, what a blunder by Volvo.
