scan tool S70 1998

Thank herbertcat. At some point I realized that a generic OBDII scanner should work (for reading codes). I'm still a little confused why some specifically say "not for Volvo", but whatever. Maybe that means it won't do some Volvo specfic codes such as the climate control. I am mostly concerned about the engine, which it should be ok for (I think).

I'll put this on my short list. I solved the SRI problem (I keep my own records and do my own maintenance) by simply yanking the light out. My Volvo indy said today "you can use my SRI reset tool anytime you want." Too late for that - mine will never come on again.

Klaus reports that he has thrown very few codes with his '98. I think I'll probably pick something up just to have, and I thank you for your reply.
