I normally don't reply to posts where I don't have a clue. I have never taken off the A pillar cover, and I never use the sun visor. I have no idea why the bulb would burn out unless the microswitch fails and the bulb is always on, which doesn't seem like your problem.
How did you manage to replace the visor 3 times without unplugging it?
