Re: I need to turn of my DRL

The US DRL switch in an S70 is redundant. You can turn the screw at the front, or remove the switch assembly and move a toggle or slider on the back.

Not knowing any better, here's what i did. I removed the wiring receptacle (had to break a couple of tabs to do it) to get to the assembly with the white toggle/slider switch. I carefully disassembled it. Good thing, too, the parts inside are small. I removed the fixed-position shaft that replaces the slotted selector shaft in the US model which probably operates a plastic cam or gear. I manually replaced the interior slider in the DRL-off position, and carefully reassembled. The toggle back there works so if I want to return to Canadian mode I can extract the switch and move the slider.

If you lose some small parts, the only thing you really need is the four-legged spring metal sliding connector which you'd position manually. In this case, upon reassembly, the slider/toggle would be useless.
