The calculated max speed on a 98 S70 T5M is only 150MPH @ 5700RPM.

So 145 MPH is basiclly no electronic limit at all. At that kind of speed you will never notice 5MPH.

This means that Volvo engineers did an excelent job of matching power, drive train, and aerodynamics to achieve max speed & max hp output at the same time.
