Hi John:

I've been checking the level each Saturday for about two months now -- ever since I read postings about the coolant mysteriously disappearing. I started this as I understand the T6 engine runs very hot and any loss of coolant should be dealt with promptly otherwise bad things can go wrong such as the plastic radiator bursting at its seams etc (a very expensive repair job as well, so I'm told by Volvo technicians).

My wife went to use the S80 last Saturday morning and came back into the house saying the "low coolant" msg was being displayed. It was then that I discovered the coolant was at or just below the MIN level. I had checked it the previous Saturday and it was at or just below the MAX level -- where's its been since I bought the car July 1, 2000 and during the last two months of checking it on a weekly basis.

As I've indicated in my previous posts, a loss of this much coolant in a single week is an anomaly for me in my years of owning numerous different cars. Normally when there's a coolant loss there's an obvious reason -- in this case I can't find one. I'm very puzzled.
