No Highbeams S60

I replaced the turnsignal/highbeam stalk on my son's S60 and it was remarkably easy. However I still don't have highbeams. The dash indicator light comes on, but the highbeams do not. I've checked the fuses in the cabin (they're ok), and there doesn't seem to be a relay under the hood. What's the next thing to check?
