Brian,

8900mi... yeah, I'm beginning to worry a little. We plan on driving through Chicago and it sounds like everytime I've heard about their weather in the last week it's snowed 18" every other day!

I thought snow chains were illegal in WI. That's what my wife said. If their not I'll definitely look into getting a set while here up there. Please let me know...

I'll totally be interested in the kind of snow chain that will safely fit the V40 if they are not illegal.
