Re: Snow Chains S40-V40 2001

Alberto,

Glad to hear you made it safe and sound. Only -22F? Hell dude, that's like a December heat wave. Another month and we'll be able to put the winter clothes away and get the shorts and sandals back on.

Isn't driving in Chicago always a blast? I've never driven any other place where some idiots will still try driving 90 in a snowstorm. Almost as exciting as watching Miami natives driving in sleet. I hope I294 traffic was flowing decently. The Tri-State/Lake Cook road toll booth area has been a bitch for at least the past year, and don't even get me going on the traffic on I80 between the Tri-State and I65. I get to Indianapolis 8-10 times a year and have pretty much seen it all in the Windy City.

I can't help you with your wiper fluid. I've never diluted mine enough for it to freeze up, plus the cars are in a heated garage this time of the year. Down south don't you use straight water anyway?? ;-) Any problems with your washer pump and Kasten Motors should be able to set you straight.

About the salt. Springtime rains and high water do wonders for removal!

Gonna run. I scored a "Lava lamp" for Christmas and have the urge to plug it in.

Brian
