Not the same problem here........ V70-XC70 1998

I'm not a service writer or a guy who thinks that he ever needs to lie to any customer, BUT it happens in the auto business at some places as some people think a good story is better than the truth. In my 24 yrs in the business, I've seen plenty (could write a book).

Your problem with oil consumption and now "blowing smoke" is not what this thread was originally about. The original question was about the "normal" oil seapage often seen dripping on the bottom of 850 turbochargers.

You describe what appears to be a bad turbo oil seal, NOT common with 850s or newer. Considering your other comments about this car in other threads here (especially about your warranty being denied), I'd guess that it was poorly maintained or abused by the original owner (lack of oil changes, etc).
