Rick,

After going to all the trouble of replacing the bulbs...an old trick to extend the life of the bulbs is to dim them slightly. Just taking the dimmer and going from %100 luminance to say %95 luminance (hardly noticable) will extend the life considerably. I have done this on both my Volvos and rarely ever have had to replace a bulb, in fact my 240 has NEVER had an instrument bulb replaced...true!
