Power Steering Pump 850 1997

There is a 'blockage' somewhere in the system that is causing the pump to cavitate, not enough hydraulic fluid getting to the pump.

Turning the wheels causes the pump to work harder, so the noise level increases.

Flush it with new fluid. Turn the wheel 'hard' a couple of time to try to force the dirt out of the lines - just don't over do it. New fluid is key.
