I haven't actually seen the Volvo camber kit but heard it described as a shim. The Eibach "kit" is actually two bolts each with a nub that, apparently offsets the Macpherson strut to allow an extra .5 dgree of negative camber (total of 1.0 negative).

The same effect can be achieved, perhaps in a more durable fashion, by "egging out" the strut mmount to allow it to be shifted. Obviously, that's a bit more expensive and, important for me, probably not allowed under SCCA rules.

Volvo camber settings are positive,specified in the range of 0 degrees to a maximun of +1.0 degrees. The stock mount allows a -.5 degree. I believe I was told that the "normal" setting is +.5 degree..
