winter mode overnight in cold weather

Thanks for writing. Correction re snowflake icon: it is steady not flashing. Upshift arrow is flashing.

ATF has looked pink recently (past month), will recheck this afternoon.

Recent apparent low gas mileage in E mode: tranny was using 4th gear on the highway in E mode, I'm sure of it: For example, tach showed 2000 rpm at 55 mph, that is typical of 4th gear, and motor was running quietly on the highway.

My '90 745T was running without its trans. solenoid working recently so I have direct experience with highway speeds in 3rd gear at least in that Volvo - wasn't anything like highway driving in the V70 in E mode.

Will continue to look at car and write in. Am close to just ordering a Uro part pnp switch from rockauto. Not expensive and may be serviceable part. Thanks again.
