The same is true for other European cars. The dipstick O rings tend to dry out and let in air, or let out hot vapors. Remember, the car was designed to run at 130mph for hours, not for commuting short distances or hauling trailers constantly.

I do wish Volvo would consider changing their guarantee period to 100K miles, or 10 years. That would help the brand name immensely and keep the resale value from falling like a rock.
