Brakes S40-V40 2000

I have 16k and the rear pads are low. I would like to try to repalce them myself. Are there any complications with this. I've done brake pad replacements b4 on mostly Jap cars with no problem but i suspect Volvo is different.

Do you need to disconnect parking brake cable? Is so,how is this done?
