Brakes S40-V40 2000

My 00 V40 has 21K miles and the dealer tells me my rear brakes are good for at least another 10K. Too bad they did not give me the thickness left. They work very well. At times I was hearing some noise when not applying brakes, hit the brake and it would go away, mostly at slow speed. They suggested that I use the brakes harder, might eliminate the noise they could not verify.
No other porblems to report, except 1 head lamp bulb burned out.
