Is there any chance that you ran the car for a very short time before you had this problem?
If so, this is a fairly common problem called the lawnmower syndrome. You start the lawnmower and shut it off before it gets warm, then it refuses to start.
Evidently, some of the valves stick open, yeilding no compression.
One sign is that the car actually cranks a little faster than normal.
I was told to keep the gas pedal on the floof, and crank the engine continously, it MAY start! Do not release the pedal or shut off the ignition, as these actions cause more gas to be introduced into the engine.
The solution is to check for codes, if there is none, install new plugs, oil filter, and an oil change.
Good luck.
