why are volvos also known as bricks 850

car companies never get it right. well maybe they did for a short while. volvo's used to be nice and curvey and normal and sporty, then they got real boxy, the brick nickname came in. then that new guy from ford was appointed to the brand and now thye are really really really curvey. i wish they'd kept with the 850 and s70's styling in the new s60 and s80. oh well, no loss to me.
