For ** PETE ** : ) I looked at my controller valve, here's what I did... 850 1995

Well, first of all I want to SINCERELY thank you for the time and effort in helping me. This is the true benefit of this message board. Now all we need is a Brickboard IRC channel for real-time help and we're set ;).

I checked voltage at the connection, it was good.

I don't have a vacuum gauge, so I used my fingers (hope that is ok). I pulled off the white line and checked it, there was vacuum there.

I pulled off the yellow line and checked it, and there was vacuum there (air being pulled into the yellow line).

With the yellow line off, I revved the engine, but I wasn't sure what to look for here. Was the oscillation supposed to be at the yellow hose or the open port on the controller valve where the yellow hose goes? There didn't seem to be anything happening on the controller port, but it was difficult to tell.

Like I said, the controller is clicking sometimes, but not all the time, and I'm not sure if that is normal. Here's the weird part. I put it back together and cleared the codes. I then started the car and it idled rough (as it always does upon clearing the codes), but then it leveled out very quickly and stayed that way. I let it idle for nearly twenty minutes, then took it for a drive for about 10-15 minutes, and so far no check engine light. It had a bit more power on take-off, and didn't falter when I put it in-out of gear. Very strange. It's running so fluidly smooth right now.

What do you think?

Kevin
