I was looking at a non-turbo car yesterday and the manual matched the car so I'll have to look at an older turbo car to double check as I'm not sure at this moment. I'm also not sure if I'll even see an older turbo 850 tomorrow but if nothing else, I'll double check the manual to see if it shows another vacuum routing for the turbos.
Either way, the controller and EGR valve should function the same, the controlled side of the controller should pulse vacuum to the EGR valve to open it.
