Emissions air-pump fix $650?????? V70-XC70

Fess,
I think I have the same problem. From what I hear, the part is expensive but labor is a snap. It seems that the air pump isn't necessary for engine operation, but it will probably set off the O2 sensors and cause, as it did in my 850, the bright yellow "check engine" light to go off. When the time comes I will replace the piece myself with a junkyard-salvaged airpump and save a lot of $$.
