Volvo issued a TSB for 850/X70 1996-1998 to "complete" rediness codes by driving a specific extended driving circuit. TSB# 0059 02 01. The process includes two consecutive trips and no diagnostic trouble codes to complete. Could take up to 3 hours, hence the high dealer charge.
