Winter Tires on T5

I just got new Yokohama Guardex 721's, 215/45 17 on new Comets for my 98 t5! Haven't had any snow since I got em though. My wifes 855 Turbo has 205/55 16 gislaved nordfrost 3's, and her car is like a tank. No slip, no spin, it just goes where you want it. When I want to have a little fun and try to fishtail via the e-brake, it won't let you go far.

I didn't like the look of smaller wheels, since my summers are 17", and I know that I should have gotten 16's, narrower tires are able to track through snow better, but for city driving in Boulder, they are fine. If we go skiing, we'll take the wagon.

I've tried Blizzaks, and Pirelli's, but the Gislaveds win, hands down. Unfortunately, they didn't make them in 17's, so I'm trying the Yoko's.

Good Luck!
