I, too, would like opinions on timing belt replacement. I just purchased a '95 850 turbo with 38,000 actual miles on it. The engine and interior is pristine. This is a one-owner car with regular service at the same shop (all stamped in the maintenance book). I needed a new battery, an upper motor mount bushing and a repair to a turbo line, but that was all. The dealer did the 40K mile service and I checked the ATF (clean and pinkish, no burnt smell). It would seem that the car would not need a belt change, mileage-wise, but would the actual age of the car/belt indicate this should be done? I'd rather be safe than sorry, yet I don't want to "over-maintain."
