was recently doing the "replace" the lights in the volvo radio thing today. mine is an sc-815. while fooling with the thing and looking at various reference sites, i learned what the ASC function does and that the sc-815 and sc-816s have infrared recievers for a remote right on the face; i see it every day just never noticed it. upon referencing the manual, the area pointing to the IR reciever simply says not in use. i know it is trivial, and that they are totally obligatory in a car for the most part, but does anyone know where or how to obtain a compatible remote for an sc-815 radio? or is it possible to program a 3rd party or learning remote with the correct alpine codes?
