Sounds like youre confusing your LED with a remote transeiver????? I mean the manual should have info on the remote if its capable..those radio manuals are so extensive, you'd think its a blueprint on how to maintain a space-shuttle orbit gyroscope.
I agree on the Alpine link though I had a car where I forgot the anti theft code--the dealer simply asked for the Serial No and he told me over the phone the security disable code (I coulda been the crook- duh!) He even went ahead and gave me a 10 min history on how Alpine "numbered" their radio sequences for the OEM vehicle radios. Kinda scarry when you thnk I coulda been scheming to rob the radios. Anyway the Alpine guys wont tell you a thing- they do the contracting work secretly....kinda like the way you have these high brand shoe companies make generic brands -same product, different brands.
I HIGHLY doubt that remotes came on during this time...they'd have been prohibitively expensive and/or marketed heavily by Volvo...to let someone just "discover" the feature like 7 years later.
