In 146,000 miles, only a couple of problems.... V70-XC70

What he said. In 99 I bought a 92 965 wagon. Since that time I have added a 97 S90, a 2000 V70AWD and a 98 Explorer. I purchased all used and with extended warranties on the Volvos. In the last 3 yrs none of the cars have stranded me. The Explorer is the one that has had the least problems. It's a "change the oil" kind of vehicle and just go. But, it's the Volvo's that I drive and wouldn't hesitate to buy another. My wife loves the XC, won't drive anything else. She wouldn't think about getting a Camry or Highlander or Odyssey. My younger daughter drives the 92 965 with 170K miles and I'm pleased that it's still around for her. She's not a speeding ticket kind of woman. The Explorer you ask? It goes with my older daughter to college, no timing belts to worry about there. The Volvos are reliable. They just have some niggling problems sometimes that can be frustrating. They require more active maintenance. Once I started with the 92 wagon I was hooked on driving the Volvo. I put up with the occasional frustration because I like driving the cars.
