Time to ban automatic weapons

My apologies if I've caused you offence, it certainly wasn't my intention. In the Vegas incident, in 2017, the shooter used a semi-automatic weapon fitted with a bump stock, which I believe are now banned. So it wasn't technically an "automatic" weapon and, in that sense, I stand corrected. But that doesn't detract too much from the meaning of my original post.

As for my considering the UK and European society to be "superior" to the USA it was in terms of social provision e.g. The NHS, which I consider superior healthcare to your mostly insurance based system. It is an opinion. I wasn't trying to be "smug". I've been here for 18 years and have never intentionally set out to cause offence. We express opinions here, nothing is personal. Regards.
