1979 245DL Canada vs US 200 1979

The Canadian market cars were mechanically identical to those sold in Sweden, with a single Stromberg carburetor. The fuel injection (and catalytic converter) were to meet US emission requirements, which at the time were the strictest in the world. The injection system was developed in Sweden and, if working properly, is every bit as good (if not in fact better, where cold starting is concerned) as the carb in any climate conditions. Might be a good idea to change your fuel filter, if you haven't done so recently, and make sure your battery is up to the task, and you should be fine.
