Wow, two questions in one post!

Number one. Backup lights. You've checked the fuse. Frequently the plug on the sedan's left taillight will be corroded. Both backup lights are affected when this plug is not making good contact with the taillight's flex circuit board. With ignition on, car not running, and transmission selector in reverse, check for voltage there. I think it is a black wire.

Assuming yours is an automatic: If no voltage, suspect the neutral safety switch attached to the gear selector. I have cleaned them Backup Switch Repair but I understand for a few dollars you can get an aftermarket replacement.

Number two.
Look for the OBD connector on the left strut tower. Use the 700/900 FAQ to find out how to read the codes it will give you, and then reset them to see if the light returns. To reset, just briefly remove the 25A blade fuse under the hood. The codes may be useful in determining why the CE lamp has been turned on, but if on for that long, the condition may be long gone. I hope.
