...refers to OD coming ON without driver having turned it ON, when shifting from third to fourth, because driver never turned it OFF last time they downshifted. This is typical with ALL original control circuits, because OD solenoid is always in series with fourth gear switch.

The only automated solution is to install the 240 sequencing relay...that takes care of it and is quite simple really. You will notice that in this circuit, the fourth gear switch is an input to the relay, so the internal electronic smarts do the remembering (to turn it OFF, until you call for it anew) for you.
