Art,
Please host 'n' post the WUR pics. Before you do so I will send you 3 additional photos of K-Jet filters which you might like to include. Two are dismantled fuel distributor and its control plunger filter and one is the filter internal to a fuel injector.
Worth noting that of all the filters in K-Jet the WUR filter has smallest orifice area. The filtration sequence is:
1. In-tank filter (replaceable - low cost)
2. Main filter (soda can size)(replaceable - low cost)
3. Fuel distributor control plunger filter & WUR filter (non-replaceable but could be cleaned with carby cleaner on dismantling unit)(EFI shops will replace fuel distributor A$1000 or WUR A$280 !!)
4. Injector filter (non-replaceable but can be cleaned with specialised equipment at EFI shop - low cost). (Some EFI shops will say injectors cant be cleaned to sell new ones!)
Its worth noting that the 1.7 mm thick bimetallic strip only moves a few thousandths of an inch from cold to hot so the WUR really is a precision device so hopefully the precision is maintained on re-assembly after dismantling and cleaning.
P.S. Your(?) K-Jet video shows braided stainless steel fuel lines (with banjo fittings). Are these off-the-shelf products in USA? My local EFI shop wants A$100 per line to replace the polyimide tube and refit banjo connectors (using their specialised fitting tools). (My lines would be hardened due to aging so I try to avoid bending them). They say new banjo connectors nor new thermal insulating tube to go over polyimide tube (to minimise vapor lock & abrasion) is no longer available.
