Bewfote you go to the trouble of yanking the manifold, remove the valve cover and check the operation of the valve train.
Sounds like good advice, although you're replying to a post where the OP says he's already looked at the intake manifold gasket, thus "trouble to yank" has already occurred. Also, I am wondering what your thoughts are on "blockage in the valve" that wouldn't show up in the compression check. Just curious, as you sound quite sure of yourself, and yet I remain, uh, confused.
