M47 Fill Bolt 200 1989

The plugs are NOT pipe plugs. They are straight thread with a copper gasket (I have three M47s all set up this way). NO torching -- there is a foam sound deadener up there, plus what is in the transmission. On my '90 I filed / ground (cut-off tool) the bolt until I had something I could grip, and it still didn't work. After about a month (and after I got new bolts & washers) I noticed some ATF seeping around the bolt. I was then able to turn it out with a cold chisel.
