91 740 w/ 239,000 miles. service engine light has been on for sometime now. I live in a rural area & Volvo mechanics are scarse. Seems like car has become PROGRESSIVELY harder to start. At first, it didn't seem to effect engine operation, but lately cold starts have not been too smooth. Car almost seems like it is partially flooded at cold start. i don't beleive it is a fuel issue because there is no black smoke at any time when i rev the engine. i drove the cat to work today, 70 mile round trip, and then drove 20 miles to walmart. after an hour in the store car would turn over, but not fire. We went to eat Ώ hour]and came back, and car started just fine. runs down the road excellent, and does not die at idle even though rpms drop to about 4000 in gear.any advice would be appreciated.
