It is pretty easy to replace the plugs, Distributor cap and rotor; maybe first just take a look at the inside of the cap and rotor on the distributor? It come off with three screws that can't fall off of the cap and you need an 8mm wrench. Mine was all burned and pitted. I'm no expert, but that is fairly easy stuff and who knows, might be a cause of the problem?
