DESPERATE FOR HELP!!! STARTING PROBLEMS 200 1989

Help Please!!!

Erratic starting problem has become more than erratic. My backyard "expert" mechanic has gone fishing for a week and I'm supposed to be starting a 1500 mile trip with the family in 2 days.

Turns over fine but nothing. Most times if I let it sit for 5-10 minutes it goes. The 5-10 mins. has turned to upwards of an hour before she goes.

Is it, could it be RPM Sensor(wherever the heck it is),fuses, distributor, fuel injection brain, AMM, or what? (If I recall correctly from another post I had read you can limp home with a bad AMM if you disconnect it, if that is the case it must not be the AMM...it still didn't start after disconnecting it

Please provide some clues.
