I'm thinking of fitting wider wheels on my 142, but am getting conflicting opinions on offset (or backspacing). If I go to 7" rims, what is the ideal backspacing? Is there much advantage of 7" over 6"? I know I can fit wider tyres on the 7", but for 'spirited street' driving, will I notice the difference over 6"?
