HALL SENSOR REPLACEMENT - 760T 700 1985

I have one of these Hall sensor replacent kits that is really the distributor baseplate without the distributor shaft - I read the FAQ about this but didn't get a solid impression as to the difficulty of removing the pin that holds the shaft assembly together - Do I need any speacial tools to get that pin out? Anyone had experience with this?

Also the O-rings and washers did not come with the kit - not sure why it is called a kit when it is just one part! But are these also to be replaced or can they be re-used?

Thanks for any tips or suggestions.
