How Do I Remove MAP Sensor Screw? 140-160

Thanks, Phil, for alerting me to the year specificity of the "71 Map sensor. As for the plug color: that should teach me not to beat around the bush with euphemismic under-statements without adding a wink ;-). On these plugs only the hook-shaped electrodes are grey. The center electrodes are sooty, as are, of course, the rest of the business ends of the plugs. The car runs well, but not particularly economically -- 23 - 27 mpg, depending on driving conditions. I've been reading what you have been saying about the color of plugs as an indicator of fuel mixture richness and/or correctness of the type of plug in use. That's what induced me to lean out the mixture on the PV. When that produced a gain of nearly 4 pmg, I figured I might as well take a look at the plugs in my "Winter Beater". Recents fuel prices really help one pay attention to that sort of thing, don't they?
