to carb or not to carb ? 1800

Agreed. I have three cars with D-Jet to deal with and as frustrating as it can be, SU's can just as frustrating... and expensive. First you have to find a manifold and carbs (prices vary) and then get the carbs rebuilt (typically $300-$400 if you want it doen right), and then tune them.

I wish it were easier to find mechanics with D-Jet experience. While a lot of diagnostic info can be had here and on the Yahoo 1800list, it's still not the same as having that person actually looking at the car.
